I have been meaning to make a second bead-embroidered cuff since I finished my first one (Ancient Cuff) a while ago... and here it is!!!!
I guess I tend to be a bit of a control-freak when it comes to my designs.... but here I set out to free myself from the constraints of following rigid specific ideas to really allowing myself to go wild and almost do the opposite of what I would have usually done... and that is how my Purple Balagan came about. Balagan is a word used around here to describe a bit of a mess/confusion/chaos... but not in a derogative way... or at least I don't understand it in a negative manner :-) it's actually one of my favourites words... it's a fun word.... therefore befitting my cuff :-)
How much fun was that!!!! so much fun!!! I almost felt as though I was painting rather than beading... does that make any sense?... I absolutely LOVED making this piece and can't wait to make another cuff as soon as I finished working on my current bead-embroidered necklace... stay tuned! :-)
Oh my....OH MY!!!!! This leaves me drooling and speechless!!!!
ReplyDeleteJust Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteTriz - I LOVE this cuff - first it is my favorite colors and second it is just so beautiful. I just got back from vacation - no beading in 12 days - I am ready to get going!!
ReplyDeleteYou are a person who has definitely found her calling. Your eye for design and the little details is impecable. Being a fairy lover, I am also a fan of Midsummer Nights Dream (though don't ever ask me to pick a favorite...all your work is stunning)!
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous. I'll never understand where you get the patience to do this.
ReplyDeleteStunning...my favorite color as well!!! Your patience is amazing!!

ReplyDeleteI love the colors and the shape!
ReplyDeleteTriz - That's soooooooooo beautiful!!! I love the colors, as is obvious from the fact that I just today listed the freeform peyote cuff I was working on, and it's the same colors. It's not nearly so elegant as yours though -- amazing that we can all create such different things with those tiny little beads. :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you all!!!!!! :-) it's so funny to hear people say that they can't believe my patience when it's actually beading that gives me the patience to deal with the real world! :-)
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful, Triz! It's a perfect name...
ReplyDeleteIT really is stunning!
ReplyDeleteThis is just luscious! You make me want to do more bead embroidery! :D
