This will be my last treasury for a while... I've got a really full week of 'real' work to do coming up... I'm not even sure if I'll have any time for beading!!!  and I haven't finished my EBW Challenge piece yet!!!! not for lack of hours working on it.... I wasted all today, tearing up and re-weaving fringes on the collar I'm working on... and after about 10 hours of that useless exercise, I decided that I like the collar better without any fringes!!!! Two whole days wasted!!! arghhhh!!!! :-)  anyway, I will definitely post the finished piece, but as to when that will be I have no idea! :-) stay posted! :-) In the meantime here is my new treasury, active until Tuesday 4th November:

I've been working on the next EtsyBeadWeavers' challenge... every day I thought I would finish it, and I probably could have yesterday, had it not been for my migraine ruining 1/2 of the day!!! :-) I hope to finish it by today and post it hopefully by Sunday... so come back and take a look... Here is my treasury for the week... and yes, yet again it's on treasury west, but as I was proved wrong last week... seeing that my last treasury west actually made it to the Front Page.... this time I don't mind :-)

So much purple, orange and black all over the place for Halloween, but why should it be only for the holiday... look at these great finds, I would wear them/use them any time of the year... Love this colour combo and not a pumpkin or ghost in sight!!! :-)

It's been a really busy morning, and it's only 8.20 am!!! :-) I'm trying to get as much done as possible, before even showering or getting dressed, because my son is home from kindergarten for the next 10 days or so, for Succot (the current Jewish festival!) and we have lots of things to do together!!! Red Wine? Treasury

Here is my treasury for the week.... I say for the week, because although I had this treasury ready for at least 5 days, it's taken me all of that time to actually grab one!!! what a nightmare!!! I had both treasuries lists open all the time, and either they would open when I was fast asleep (3am) or I would get one and as soon as I would start typing the title, it disappeared!!!! enough to drive an old gal to drinking!!!! :-)

Yellow Mellow Treasury

I've been watching the treasuries since yesterday... and was unable to stay up till 2 am waiting for them to open up last night... but managed to get one this afternoon!!! :-)

I love yellow, but for some reason can't seem to use it as a colour in my own work.... the closest I've come to it is when I made my Midsummer Nights Dream necklace and used yellow freshwater pearls and light yellow Swarovski  crystals... but that is as far as I have been able to include this gorgeous happy colour in anything I made :-) a small step, but a huge effort!!! I don't know the why and how, but it is what it is! :-) a phobia???? :-) I hope not, wouldn't like to be scared of any colour!!! :-)

so as I'm yellow-deficient I thought I would create a yellow treasury, in the hope that I can finally use some of my gorgeous yellow beads I've been stocking up in the hope that if I owned them, saw them on a regular basis, they would eventually speak to me and I would be able to use them!!! :-) otherwise, anyone interested in some yellow beads? ;-)

Autumn at the beach - Treasury

I love this time of year, the light is changing, the temperatures are dropping to bearable (today was about 30 degrees Centigrade), the humidity is finally dropping to a level whereas you don't think of needing to take a shower every 30 minutes! :-) ...and my all-time favourite part of the day is those last few hours before and until sunset, where it's still warm, but you can feel the end of the day approaching and you are soaking in those last few rays... and you know that winter is only a few months away, so those moments are treasured even more.... and the colours that I see and feel are the inspiration for the treasury I just managed to grab!!! :-)

don't want the summer to end!!!! - treasury

Finally managed to get a treasury!!!  wasn't easy, and at one point, just after I had written the title, it looked like I was going to lose it and I couldn't get back into it.... my heart stopped, I became almost irate - mainly because I've been sitting at the computer for the last 3 hours waiting for it... but I tried one more time and YES!!! managed to get back into it and load these beauties up!!! :-)  now I can go to sleep, hopefully :-)

Well I'm a summer person - I moved to Israel from London because as much as I LOVE London, the weather there just depressed me to no end, and even though it's still unbelievably hot here, there is this underlying feeling that the summer is about to end, and unlike other places where there are four season, Israel seems to only have two - summer and winter.... there's not much warning between seasons, one minute it's bloody hot, the next miserable and cold.... and I just don't want it to end!!! :-)  I looked for items that would remind me of gorgeous hot early summer evenings, just before the sun sets and this is what I found! :-)

Kindergarten teacher's presents!

Tomorrow is my son's last day at kindergarten and last year at this particular one where he has been going for 3 years!!!! Next year he will be joining the system!!! :-) meaning he will be entering the mandatory state kindergarten... not so sure how I feel about that... but more importantly not so sure how he will feel about it... as he is leaving all his friends (not one of them is going to the same place next year) but I'm sure we will both survive! :-)

I wanted to give something special to these 6 wonderful women who have been looking after my son during the year and some of them have been with him for the whole 3 years.... The care he received there is way above and beyond what is called for in their job description... so I wanted to make them something each... and here is what I've been making for the them in the last few days.... the hardest part was deciding which one gets what... I hope I made wise choices and I hope they'll like my little tokens of affection and gratitude! :-)

Sensitive/controversial subject and three more treasuries! :-)

I cannot even begin to convey what a crappy time I'm having lately... I won't bore anyone with the details, also because I don't feel like writing for the next 4 hours, but basically I'm  trying to sell my flat and I'm stuck in a legal vortex that is sucking the life out of me which may eventually lead me to have to take one of my neighbours to court... which would then probably delay my sale for about 2-4 years!!! yes! how much fun can I be to be around at the moment!?!? :-) why am telling you this? well, mainly so you can understand how grateful I am to have been featured in all these treasuries and front page!!! It's really lifted my spirit and has inspired me to want to bead, and as soon as I have a day not filled with tracing lawyers and officials and yes, even the police today.... we found workmen, who are working in the building site next to my building, on my property (I live on the 3rd floor) moving plants about and using the balcony as their platform to build an illegal wall on my property!!!! that, compounded with the fact that when we called the police the reply from them was... it's not our problem!!!! funny I thought trespassing was illegal... I am truly worried about sleeping here. tonight... I've locked all my windows, shutters, door... my son is sleeping in my bedroom with me tonight, as well as my dog... I have a very big wooden stick under my bed... and 10 years of karate training!!! and yet I still don't feel so safe!!!  ok, so I'm rambling, and I may sound totally hysterical... but with the background of what is happening lately.... I'm sure some of you heard of the bulldozer attack in Jerusalem last week, and I believe there was one today too (16 injured)...  I am truly fearful of the idea that these men could actually, with little effort enter my home.... am I being paranoid???? well last week we saw the release of one of the most horrific murderers released in exchange for 2 of our poor kidnapped soldiers,  whose fate we were not informed of  until the very last  moment... like it was a reality show or something.... I mean imagine these poor guy's families finding out the status of their loved one on tv!!!! and then bringing back this "animal" and making him into some sort of hero.... Lebanese people do you actually know what you are celebrating???? this man went into a family's home, the mother hid with the 2 year old, who she eventually smothered, in fear that these animals would find her and her child for her child's cries.... then these animals took the father and the 3 1/2 year old precious child... killed the father in front of this precious child, so it would be the last thing this child saw before having her brains bashed in!!!!! this is your hero!!!!!!! a F***ing ( and please excuse my french!)  coward, a child killer!!!! yes that is your hero... and if that is who you think you should celebrate....  then that makes you as morally culpable as this monster!!!! Shame on you!!!!

ok, so this was not my intention.... I usually write about beading... and I apologize if I have offended anyone with this rather sensitive and oh so very political post... but really, if you have a problem, don't read it!!! yes I'm angry!!! and scared... and I'm slowly loosing faith in humanity... and these treasuries that I've been featured  in really pale in importance to the bigger picture, but I am really truly honoured that people who I have not physically met, would actually take the time to include my work in their selection...
