Tomorrow is my son's last day at kindergarten and last year at this particular one where he has been going for 3 years!!!! Next year he will be joining the system!!! :-) meaning he will be entering the mandatory state kindergarten... not so sure how I feel about that... but more importantly not so sure how he will feel about it... as he is leaving all his friends (not one of them is going to the same place next year) but I'm sure we will both survive! :-)
I wanted to give something special to these 6 wonderful women who have been looking after my son during the year and some of them have been with him for the whole 3 years.... The care he received there is way above and beyond what is called for in their job description... so I wanted to make them something each... and here is what I've been making for the them in the last few days.... the hardest part was deciding which one gets what... I hope I made wise choices and I hope they'll like my little tokens of affection and gratitude! :-)
Oh yes.... and I almost forgot.... during my lunch break, I managed to get a Treasury and I filled it with some of the amazing entries for this month's EBW Art Deco challenge - voting starts the 9th August - but in the meantime go check out this treasury! :-) http://www.etsy.com/treasury_list_west.php?room_id=21103
This treasury expires Sunday 10th August: http://www.etsy.com/treasury_list_west.php?room_id=21103
Triz, if I were one of those teachers, receiving such a beautiful gift, I would weep...I know the GRATITUDE you feel to them for taking such good care of your son...I am still in touch w/ Edward's 2nd grade and 6th grade teachers...it was such a yummy school. (Remember, he's in college now!!!)

ReplyDeleteThese women will never forget your son or you! What a wonderful way to express your thanks for the care they have given your cherished one! :D Just beautiful, Triz. Not many people would think to do this, much less actually carry it through.
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful gifts and I'm sure they are well deserved. That was also a beautiful treasury!
ReplyDeleteTriz - Those are so gorgeous! It's wonderful of you to recognize the teachers for the care they gave your son during the past three years. Good teachers are so important to a child - I still remember two or three teachers who made a big impression on me (and I'm OLD!). :-)
ReplyDeleteWOW, those are amazing, how could they not love them! You are a big hearted lady!! :)
ReplyDeleteYou are such a generous soul to give your son's teachers such treasured pieces! They are lovely!

ReplyDeleteGood teachers are so important in a child's life...I still remember two teachers a male teacher(grade 6) and a female teacher who taught me in grade 7, she is long since retired but I still see her occasionally out shopping...we still talk to this day...
